WELCOME!  Many of you know what a wonderful, faithful and loyal human being our beloved and only son, Henry was. Those of you who do not know him will be a believer after viewing the beautiful visions through this site, as well as the loving messages left.

Henry Vellore Lozano was murdered on December 19, 2001 in Desert Hot Springs, California.   Henry was a beautiful, loyal and devoted son and friend to those around him. We cannot remember ever being angry with him for more than one entire hour in his ever so short 20 years.  He consciously volunteered and joined the U.S. Marines in 2001.  He was committed to upholding the freedom of the United States.  He was also in the process of pursuing a career as a CHP or police officer after his tour in the Marines.  Even though he served less than 12 months on active duty with the Marines, he was honored at his burial with a 21-gun salute accompanied by a 65-car entourage and 200 plus people in attendance.  Seniors and young people, that we did not know, came to us telling us of his devotion as a friend always caring to stop and visit.

He was a religious and devout son to his parents. He was a true, loving and dedicated brother to his sisters. He was a faithful, loving and kind person to all his cousins, family and friends that entered his life. He always had a smile on his face. He was a devoted and loyal partner to his fiancé. He saw her goodness and love but ultimately lost his life honoring those beliefs in her.

The murderer, whether because of perception or misperception, spun a one way tale that cost our son his life.  This coward and his accomplices were lying in wait for our son; our brave and proud U.S. Marine who never had a chance to defend himself, but was at the hands of the devil.  That devil played God in a town that carries more than its share of low life followers that are fearful to speak up.  AND that devil still walks and talks freely while we, once a complete family, now exist with a devastating hole in our heart . . . never to become whole again.

The police quickly descended on the crime scene and within a short period had identified the shooter. Unfortunately, the shooter was a gang member and those who witnessed the shooting suddenly experienced selective amnesia.

The third anniversary of our son’s very wrongful death was as painful as the first.  Although it is common knowledge on the streets, this gang has disbanded because our son’s death was wrong even to their “standards,” and even though the number one “suspect” has laughed and admitted to murdering our son, the little followers are afraid to come forward.  However, the Desert Hot Springs Police Department has not given up. Periodically the investigation is worked, resulting in incriminating revelations, but also a distinct fear of offering testimony in open court.

WE PRAY THAT ALL OF YOU OUT THERE LIVE YOUR LIFE WITHOUT FEAR, LOVING GOD, RESPECTING YOURSELF AND OTHERS, SO THAT YOU TOO, MAY ONE DAY BE ABLE TO JOIN OUR SON IN HEAVEN.

THANK YOU FOR VISITING. WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP ON OUR JOURNEY TO JUSTICE. PLEASE SIGN OUR GUESTBOOK AND SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS, OR YOU CAN VISIT US QUIETLY AT www.DL8743@yahoo.com

Tell the church you will send them a $5.00 donation by mail for this request and they will send you confirmation in mail by way of a "Mass Card."  You can ask them to send the card to us at 9671 San Rafael Rd., Desert Hot Springs, CA 92240 or to your own home.  If other denominational churches can do this also, please call them.  For example, Episcopalian churches will.  We will be happy to reimburse your $5.00 donation, just let us know.

Please email me at dl8743@yahoo.com or leave a message on Henry's website which church or churches will be saying mass intention for him, so that we have an idea as to how many churches will be involved.  We would also reserve that same date for many years to come.
